Phase 2 of the Wires X project is completed. We are currently testing the repeater as a gateway / node. More to complete.  Special thanks to K4QXN, KN4ONN, AND W4DXL for helping find that little switch. A long story for another time.  More to come later.

After a very successful Sunday. We have one out of two repeaters up for testing. We still have more to do. Antenna’s have been ordered. We still need to raise more funds to order the amplifiers for both repeaters. Here are some before and after pics. 73 KT4TAC

  • Today we got a lot accomplished.  We said goodbye to equipment that has served the club well. R.I.P  the 70cm Motorola M5000 and the 2m G.E. MSTR II repeater and cabinet. It has all been hauled back to the clubhouse.

  • KK1LL and his brother, Jeremy, removed the old 800mhz antenna and mounted Patrick’s (KE4HHA) base antenna in its place.

  • Mike W4DXL, Tom KT4TAC and Brad KK1LL then installed the new infrastructure for the new repeaters and network gear.

More updates to come!

Thank you to our President Ted Williams KE6QEY for his contribution of $650 towards the purchase of the new ICOM repeater. The club voted today on the purchase of the new ICOM repeater. KK1LL and committee will be providing updates to the Two Wells Fargo Project.

Along with Ted’s donation, Tom Coudriet KT4TAC has donated the new Yaesu Fusion Repeater to the club.
